Instructions for downloading free Judicial Council .doc Forms:

1. Make a directory for the Judicial Council Forms,
2. We prefer C:\JCFORMS. (Use any other drive and/or directory you wish.)
3. Click on Download Subpoena, (Not yet, keep reading!)
4. Click on SAVE FILE,
5. Select the Disk Drive you made/selected in step 1, (C: for instance)(it is probably already selected)
6. Select the Directory you made/selected in step 1, (JCFORMS for instance)(you probably need to select it)
7. Click OK,
8. Use any UNZIP program to uncompress the Subpoena Form,
9. The Subpoena Form is JC form number 982(a)15 which has the file name 982A15.DOC
10. Open the document with Microsoft Word (version 7 is best, but other versions work also) or Word perfect for windows.
11. The form will ask for a password, press OK to disregard. The password keeps the typist from accidently changing the form layout.
12. Use the form by inserting the required data.
13. Be careful not to save the form under the file name 982A15.DOC after you fill it out, because you will save all of the filled in data on the form as well. If you wish to save the filled out form save it under a new file name.
14. If you frequently use the form, you may wish to insert your firm name, case number and such, permanently.
15. The form can be used over and over without damaging it.
